Hundreds of people rally against the homophobic aggression that took place in a park of Girona (la Devesa) last October 2021. The events occurred during a night party, when a group of young people insulted and attacked a young man after asking him if he was gay. The victim reported the attack to the police authorities, who made an arrest.
This unfortunate event is a sign of the rise in anti-LGBT attacks that have occurred in Catalonia (Spain) in recent months.
All victims can report the offences to the police and find support in the LGBT organisations as well as in specialized services, such as the comprehensive care service for LGBT people in Catalonia (SAI).
